Jill True
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Jill was born in Ohio and moved to Colorado when she was seven years old. Following high school in Greeley, she attended Colorado State University to study Human Services.
However, Jill’s career aspirations changed while working in a front desk role at a friend's audiology practice during her college years. At her one-year review, the owner asked Jill if she had considered pursuing a career in hearing, as Jill seemed to understand the process and really like the patients. Jill describes this as one of those moments in life where she suddenly knew what she was supposed to do and, as a result, changed directions in her career path.
As our Hearing Instrument Specialist, Jill has the opportunity to connect with patients in various ways. This includes conducting hearing tests, fitting hearing aids, removing cerumen, and assisting patients with hearing protection. As every patient’s needs are different, so is Jill’s work–the variety is something she absolutely loves!
Jill’s favorite part of her job is developing long-term relationships with her patients. She likes hearing about their lives and catching up with them at their appointments. According to Jill, getting to help them hear better and connect with their world is just icing on the cake!
Outside of the office, Jill leads a very active life. She loves to run and hike! Jill has completed several marathons, dozens of half-marathons, countless shorter races, climbed 20 Colorado 14ers, and summited Kilimanjaro! She also enjoys the sunshine and curling up with a good book to unwind.
What’s your favorite season?
Summer! I love the warmth of the sunshine and those long summer days!
Who are your favorite musicians?
I love Taylor Swift. Not only do I love her music, but I also love that she gives back to the communities where she plays. And being a child of the 80s, I'm still a fan of good ol' classic 80s rock.
What is your favorite food?
I've never met a potato I didn't like! Baked, fried, roasted... they're all good! I'm also a big fan of street tacos!
Dog or cat?
Both, but my dog is my favorite (just don't tell the cats!).
If you could travel anywhere in the world for free, where would you go?
Anywhere and everywhere! I love adventures, and I love learning about and experiencing new cultures!
What is your favorite sound?
My absolute favorite sound is that moment in the early mornings before most people are up. The birds are chirping, and the light breeze is waving through the leaves on the trees. It doesn't get better than that!
